Looks like our mischievous elf’s been competing in the Annual Sauce Fling! 🍅
Sitting proudly on top of a ketchup (or tomato purée) bottle, he’s left a target card splattered with “sauce” from his latest challenge. It’s one of those naughty elf ideas that’s quick, silly and sure to get a big laugh from the kids – especially when they see the mess he’s made!
You can use ketchup or tomato sauce/purée. Either way, it’s a fun, cheeky setup that only takes a couple of minutes to pull together.
What you’ll need:
- One official Elf on the Shelf doll (paid link)
- A ketchup bottle or tomato purée tube
- A small card or sheet of paper with a target, labelled “The Annual Sauce Fling”
- A bit of ketchup (or purée/sauce) for splatter effect

Setup:
Sit your elf on top of the ketchup bottle and position the target card in front of him. Add a few playful sauce splashes on the card and surface to show the results of his “competition.” It’s a funny, cheeky naughty elf idea that’s quick to set up and totally unforgettable!
