This helpful little Christmas elf has noticed something terribly important… your straws were getting a bit drab! 🥤
He’s sitting inside a glass with a pack of shiny new stripey straws and a note that says, “I noticed that the straws you have are getting rather drab, so I bought some nice new stripey ones to make your drinks look fab!”
It’s one of those easy elf ideas that’s bright, simple and full of personality. The rhyme makes it extra fun, and the colourful straws add a lovely festive touch to your kitchen or dining table.
What you’ll need:
- One official Elf on the Shelf doll (paid link)
- A drinking glass or cup
- A pack of colourful stripey straws (these ones from Cheeky Panda really are the best (paid link))
- A printed or handwritten note with the rhyme – I used the free YummyMummyKitchen.com download for my paper and just replaced the text.
Setup:
Sit your elf inside the glass with the pack of straws leaning against him or spread a few around the table. Place the note nearby or tuck it inside the straw pack for the kids to find. It’s a cheerful, mess-free idea that looks great and takes no time at all to create.
