Bang! 🎉
It looks like our elf and a toy friend have been having some festive fun pulling Christmas crackers! The elf’s proudly wearing his paper crown, while his friend’s borrowed the elf’s hat and is reading out a cracker joke. It’s one of those easy elf ideas that takes no time at all but looks wonderfully Christmassy.
You can add a few unopened crackers around the scene for the kids to pull themselves in the morning – it’s a simple way to spread some extra cheer. It’s quick, colourful, and guaranteed to make everyone smile.
What you’ll need:
- One official Elf on the Shelf doll (paid link)
- A toy or doll companion
- A Christmas cracker (pulled apart)
- A paper crown (from the cracker)
- A cracker joke
- Optional: a few extra crackers for the kids to pull

Setup:
Sit your elf and toy side by side with the pulled cracker between them. Pop the paper crown on the elf’s head, give the toy the elf’s hat, and place the cracker joke in the toy’s hand. Scatter a couple more crackers around to make it look festive and fun. It’s an easy, cheerful setup full of Christmas magic!
