Our elf has a tiny visitor. He’s set up a nursery corner and is apparently in charge of the cuddles! 👶
The little Frost Pip sits in its green flower while our elf keeps it company. A homemade screen and a few paper stars make the corner feel ready for a new arrival.
This easy elf idea uses an official miniature baby accessory beside your usual elf. It’s a sweet change from the bigger adventures, with a little pretend babysitting story for the morning.
What you’ll need:
- One official Elf on the Shelf doll (paid link)
- Official Frost Pips Mini Blooms baby in a frost flower (paid link)
- A folded cloth to support your usual elf
- Card for a small nursery screen
- Two paper stars
- A small fabric scrap for a pretend blanket
- One little book
- Paper for the nursery note
Setup:
Fold the card into a freestanding screen and add a couple of paper stars near the top. Put the Frost Pip in its included flower in front of the screen. Sit your usual elf beside it, supported by the folded cloth, and leave both faces visible. Put the little blanket nearby rather than covering the little visitor. Add a small book and a note saying “Tiny visitor, big cuddles”. The flower belongs to the miniature Frost Pip; it is not a seat for your full-size elf. The accessory used here is the official boy with blue eyes and a green dummy. You can leave the book closed overnight, then invite the children to choose a short story for the nursery in the morning.
Make it cheaply:
Use a little toy you already have as the visitor. Fold a paper cradle or put it on a soft cloth, with your elf sitting nearby. A cereal-box flap makes the screen and scrap paper makes the stars. Draw a flower backdrop if you like the nursery theme without buying a miniature baby.
Try the teddy picnic or the kindness-note cupboard for another elf scene.
