Our elf has opened the smallest skate park in town… and he’s fairly certain Santa needs to see his tricks! 🛹
With headphones on, arms out and a tiny skateboard under his feet, he’s ready for his big moment. A cardboard ramp has appeared beside him, along with a note saying “Santa, watch this!” We’re hoping his landing is better than his handwriting.
This playful easy elf idea turns a little patch of table into a North Pole skate park. It’s a fun one for children who love scooters, skateboards or anything with wheels.
What you’ll need:
- One official Elf on the Shelf doll (paid link)
- The official Holly Jolly Ollie skateboard set (paid link) (skateboard, hoodie, headphones and supporting MagiFreez trousers)
- A piece of stiff card or an empty cereal box for the ramp
- Scissors and tape
- A small note saying “Santa, watch this!”
Setup:
Fold a strip of stiff card into three panels, tape the ends together to make a low triangular ramp, and place it on a table. Dress your elf in the hoodie and supporting trousers, add the headphones and pose him on the skateboard beside the ramp. Stretch his arms out for balance and leave the note where the kids will spot it. You could add a paper sign saying “North Pole skate park” too.
Make it cheaply:
Borrow a toy fingerboard if you already have one. Or cut a skateboard shape from cereal-box card, colour in the deck and draw little wheels along the sides. Sit your elf behind it with his feet resting on the board, and use the same cardboard ramp and note. The outfit and headphones are optional — his usual red suit works just as well.
